102nd -- Pray, Aim High And Stay Focused

It is very important that we seek God in prayer before making important
decisions. The Lord promises that if we seek Him in prayer and live a
righteous life, then we will have God's wisdom and good success as it is
written in Proverbs 2:6-8 "…the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come
knowledge and understanding. He holds victory in store for the upright, He
is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for He guards the course of
the just and protects the way of His faithful ones." Be encouraged and
know that when important decisions need to be made; going to the One who
has all wisdom and understanding will always get you the right answer and
in the end; good success.

This is a good parable that shows how prayer and obedience will always
promise us the victory, even when all our options seem to be gone. I hope
this simple story speaks to your heart and know that God is always ready to
lead and guide us when we humble ourselves and seek Him for the answers we
need in daily life.

PRAY, AIM HIGH AND STAY FOCUSED

There was once a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old
shotgun and three bullets. So, he decided that he would go out hunting and
kill something to eat for dinner.

As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit and he shot at the rabbit and
missed it. Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel and
missed it. As he went further, he saw a wild turkey in the tree and he had
only one bullet left, but a voice came to him and said "Pray first, aim
high and stay focused."

However, at the same time he saw a deer, which was a better kill. He
brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But then he saw a rattle snake
between his legs about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down
further to shoot the rattlesnake. Still, the voice said again to him,
"Pray, aim high and stay focused.'"

So, the man decided to follow the voice. He prayed, then aimed the gun high
up in the tree and shot the wild turkey. The bullet bounced off the turkey
and killed the deer. The handle fell off the gun and hit the snake in the
head and killed it. And when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a
pond of water.

When he got up to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a dead deer
and turkey to eat for his family. The snake (e.g. satan) was dead simply
because the man listened to God: Pray first, Aim High and Stay Focused.

Bottom-line: Pray first before you do anything important, aim and shoot
high in your goals, and stay focused on God and you will come forth
successful.

Author Unknown,

The Lord is always faithful to those who trust in Him and lean upon His
wisdom for guidance and direction, but sadly many people fall short because
they trusted in their own wisdom and intellect and not the wisdom of God.
The Bible declares in Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your
heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge
Him, And He shall direct your paths." I want you to know that God loves
you and wishes for you to succeed in every area of your life and when we
show our faith strong in Him, we are guaranteed the victory. (3 John 2)

When we let go of our pride and let God lead the way, He will do amazing
things where every need will be met, and as a bonus for our submission,
the head of the enemy will be crushed beneath our feet because we chose to
humble ourselves before the Lord and not trust in our own wisdom.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith
the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will
hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search
for me with all your heart."

Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but
thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do
according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way
prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

Psalm 107:6-9 "Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He
delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right
way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise
the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of
men! For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with
goodness."

All scriptures can be found in the King James Version.
