1075th -- Walking The Path

We should always remember and keep in mind that we are unique and special
human beings. We are a one-of-a-kind creation. There is no duplicate you
and there is no duplicate me. We each have our own abilities, gifts,
talents and idiosyncrasies. We are created individually and unique in our
own special way, but sadly there are many who wish they weren't who they
are. They imagine the life of someone they admire or envy and wish they
were in those shoes instead of their own. What they fail to realize is
that their life is just as special; they just don't recognize it for
themselves. We should always strive to become better versions of
ourselves, but we shouldn't strive to be a copy or a clone of someone
else. We can admire the good habits of others and adapt them in our own
life, but we should also be happy with who God made us to be. We are the
best version of us that was ever created. Always remember that you are
precious, priceless and perfect. You may not feel it at any particular
time, but nonetheless you are all of these things.

Be encouraged to have the right self-image of yourself. See every
experience that you have gone through as a stepping stone into a bright
and blessed future. Every mountaintop of success and every valley of
failure make you, shape you and move you into who you will become. We are
a product of our past and if our past brought us suffering, heartache and
pain, we can use what we've learned for our betterment now and in our
future to come. We don't have to become stagnant and lackadaisical, but
rather we can be motivated, determined and resolved that nothing but
victory will suffice.

When we have an unmovable, unshakable and unwavering faith that all will
be well, we will have dictated our future into a real and tangible
reality. When we believe in ourselves anew and know that God will work
all things together for our good, we will be encouraged again to know that
no matter what happened before, the future will be bright, blessed and
beautiful. We have to believe it for ourselves and receive it for
ourselves. Love yourself today my friend and remember how special and
unique you really are.

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to see that every
challenge in life helps you, strengthens you and makes you who you are.

WALKING THE PATH

Growing up in these rugged mountains of West Virginia I have had the joy
of walking many trails and paths over the years. There have been ones that
went across sun-drenched meadows and there have been ones that went
through shady woods. There have been ones next to roaring rivers and there
have been ones next to peaceful lakes. There have been ones going uphill
and there have been ones going downhill. There have been smooth, grassy
ones and there have been ones full of rocks and holes. Still, each one has
had its own special delight. I have loved walking along them all too even
though I have stumbled and fallen a few times.

When it comes to the path of my life, however, I have stumbled and fallen
more than just a few times. Actually, I have hit the ground more times
than I can count. It hasn’t always been a grassy trail over a sun-drenched
meadow for me. It has been a path full of twists, turns, rocks, holes, and
obstacles as well. I haven’t always kept my eyes on the road or my hand in
God’s either. Still, no matter how many times I have ended up face down in
the dirt God has always been there to forgive me and help me back up. I
have learned too that it doesn’t matter how many times you stumble and
fall. It only matters how many times you get back up. Even if you stumble
and fall one million times then you need to rise up and try again one
million and one. God is always there waiting to forgive you and help you
to walk your life’s path one more time.

I can see too now why God sent me along this path my life has taken. It
lead me to where I am now. Without the growth it gave, learning it
provided, and even falls it dealt me I would not be who I am today. I plan
on continuing down my life’s path then doing all the good I can and
helping others along the way. I plan on walking it with a smile on my
face, a song on my lips, love in my heart, joy in my soul, and my hand
firmly in God’s. I know it is leading me home.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 118:5-9 “I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me,
and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what
can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me:
therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to
trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in
the LORD than to put confidence in princes.”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light affliction, which is but for a
moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which
are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things
which are not seen are Eternal.”

Matthew 12:35-37 Jesus declares
“A good man out of the good treasure of
the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil
treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle
word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of
Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou
shalt be condemned.”

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against
you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou
mayest love the LORD Thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and
that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of
thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy
fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
