1079th -- Because God Loves You

One thing we should always remember and keep in mind is that God loves
us. No matter our triumphs or our failures God loves us. No matter if we
are sinners or Saints God loves us. The Lord's love towards us isn't
dependent upon our righteousness, but rather it is freely given to all
mankind because His love comes to us without motive, without prejudice and
without requirement. God's love is something that we could never earn or
deserve. We could never work hard enough to merit God's love or be
righteous enough to be worthy of having such a priceless gift. It is a
gift freely given because when we were created, we were created by His
love. He sees us as worthy, as deserving, as righteous, as beloved and as
His perfect child. We may stumble, we may fall short and we may fail, but
with God a second chance is always available. When we humble ourselves
and ask for His forgiveness, He forgives us quicker than we could ever
think or imagine. (Jeremiah 31:3) (Romans 5:8) (Isaiah 64:6-9)

No matter what you may be going through I want you to know that God loves
you. No matter your past, no matter your sins, no matter your shortfalls,
a new beginning is always possible. When the Lord Jesus Christ took upon
Himself our sins and died in our stead; that was God showing His love
towards humanity. His love is so great that He willingly took upon Himself
our sins so that we may live Eternally with Him. If we are ever to doubt
God's love for us all we need to do is think of the cross of Christ. It
was not nails that hung the Lord Jesus to the cross, but it was His love.
No man could take the Lord's life; He willingly gave it up so that we
might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. His love is that
great for us. Never doubt or question how much the Lord loves and cares
for you. (Isaiah 1:18-20) (Ezekiel 36:26-27) (Jeremiah 33:3)

Let this message remind you that you are greatly loved by the Lord. Never
doubt it and never question it, but rather embrace His love. Commune with
the Lord, share with Him all that is on your heart and let God know that
you are thankful for all that He has done for you. When we recognize how
fortunate we are our hearts will be filled with gratitude and we will give
Praise to the Lord for every gift and blessing that He has graciously
bestowed upon us. The Lord is worthy of the Praises of His people. Let
us never forget that. (James 4:8) (Psalm 103:1-5) (Psalm 145:8-9)

I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to see how holding
God's love as the centerpiece of our life can do so much to encourage and
lift up those around us.

BECAUSE GOD LOVES YOU

There are stories that find their way into your heart and stay there
forever. This is one that found its way into mine. There was once an
elderly woman who lived in a violent, drug-ravaged, crumbling neighborhood
in an old city. Her children had died before her. Time had left its mark
on her too. She was no longer pretty in the eyes of the world. She had
become wrinkled, stooped, thin and hollow-eyed. Her body was now half
crippled with arthritis.

Still, this little old lady continually brought joy to the community
around her. Everyone called her “Granny” and she was a loving Grandmother
to all. As she moved slowly down the street she would sing hymns and share
smiles. She had a kind word for everyone. She gave her gentle laughter as
a free gift to all. She offered encouragement, said prayers for, and
brought hope to the disheartened. She went about doing good every chance
she could. No one who met her left without their heart feeling lighter and
their smile shining brighter. Her serenity and tranquility remained a
mystery to the neighborhood, though. No one could figure out how someone
who had lost and suffered so much could live so beautifully.

One day a curious little girl ran up to the tiny old woman shuffling along
with her walker and called out to her. “How do you do it Granny?”, she
asked. “How do you love so freely? How do you live so happily? How do you
give so much to all of us every day?” Granny just smiled at her and said,
“Because God loves me child! Because He loves me, I love Him and you and
everybody else!”

What a glorious truth she shared. There is no better reason to live and
love than that. That is why this story will forever have a home in my
heart. May you too make your life a beautiful gift of love, just because
“God Loves You!”

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless
His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who
redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness
and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy
youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Proverbs 8:17-21 “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early
shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and
righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my
revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the
midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to
inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.”

1 Chronicles 28:9-10 “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy
father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for
the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of
the thoughts: if thou seek Him, He will be found of thee; but if thou
forsake Him, He will cast thee off for ever. Take heed now; for the LORD
hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I
have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that
day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
