A very popular and well-known quote says “A journey of 1000 miles begins
with a single step.” This is a very true observation because in order to
begin any new endeavor we must have the gumption and the wherewithal to
actually begin. There are many people in this world who want to start
something new, but they never get around to actually starting something
new. We tell ourselves that tomorrow we will start that diet, tomorrow we
will quit smoking, tomorrow we will study for that test, tomorrow we will
start looking for a job, tomorrow we will pursue that dream that has been
in our hearts for so long. We postpone for tomorrow what could be started
today because we don't wholeheartedly want to start, or believe that we
can be successful if we do start that new endeavor. What I have found to
be true is that when I take the initiative and take the first step by
faith and actually begin a new thing, the outcome turns out much better
than I ever thought it would be. Let me explain.
I have been doing this ministry work since 1999 and I started the E-mail
Encouragement Ministry in March of 2000. Since that time I have sent out
over 1,180 messages all to the glory of God. During those years of the
messages being sent out, I received numerous requests asking for me to
write a book of these messages so that they would be easily accessible
within a person's reach. To be honest I never had the urge in my heart to
do that. For years I continued to be faithful in writing and sending out
the messages via e-mail and through my website Godswork.org completely
free of charge and I called it a privilege to be used of God in this
manner. It wasn't until April of 2013 that I felt the leading of the Lord
to write a book.
I didn't know how to put a book together, I didn't know how I would publish
it and get it out to the world, but I took the first step by faith and
trusted that God would lead the way. In a little over a month on May 23,
2013 the book was written, edited, formatted and published on Amazon.com
through the Kindle format for digital reading. How was that possible?
The Lord led the way! I read a few instructional books and learned how to
properly structure a book, how it should be formatted and what
specifications were required to get it published. It was amazing to me
how the pieces fell into place. After I published the e-book, I received
many requests for a paperback version. Again, I had no idea on how to get
it done, but again God was faithful. Within another month, the paperback
was available for purchase around the world through Amazon.com. And now
after following God's leading again, I am ready to publish Volume 2 of
Messages of Hope and I am nearing completion of an Audiobook version of
Messages of Hope that will be a blessing to all of those who hear it and
put into practice what those messages convey.
What is the reason that I'm sharing all of this? It is to encourage you
and show you that anything is possible when you take the first step by
faith. Believe in yourself. Believe that you are meant for more. Believe
that greatness lies within your being. Trust that your life is significant
and can make a great impact for yourself, for your family and for this
world. We sometimes doubt our significance and we believe that we are
less than because we have fallen short in times past, but I want you to
know that with God a new beginning is always possible. He can use you in
ways that you have never thought would or could be possible. He is the God
of the impossible. He loves a challenge, He loves to prove the doubters
wrong and He loves to show His Strength to those who trust Him.

Don't doubt your uniqueness. There isn't another you and there never will
be. You are an original created by the Hands of Almighty God and I want
you to know that greatness lies within your being. Whatever dreams you
had deep within your heart that have been laying there dormant should be
revived anew. Don't go to your grave with your dreams still inside of you.
Don't give up before you have even begun. As long as you have breath
within your lungs then your story isn't finished yet. If God led me, then
He can lead you. If God brought all the pieces together for me, then He
can do the same for you. Be bold, Be confident, Be unwavering and in faith
Believing take the first step and start your journey!

reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even
all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek

Philippians 2:13-15 “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and
to do of His good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and
disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God,
without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom
ye shine as lights in the world.”
Hebrews 13:5-6 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be
content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave
thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper,
and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be
not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee
whithersoever thou goest.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto

direct thy paths.”
