1299th -- A Little Morning Music

It is important that we always keep a proper perspective concerning our life. We should never become so discouraged and disheartened that we lose our zeal for life. The thing that is important to remember is that tough situations will always be a part of our life, but if we hold on to our peace, the struggles that we may be going through won't have the same effect on us. Our good days greatly outweigh our bad, but many times we forget the great good and we think, meditate and worry about the little bad. That should never be. The goodness of God should keep us praise filled, gratitude minded and our countenance should reflect our joy filled spirit. (1 John 4:17-19)

No matter what you may be facing today, I encourage you to face it with a renewed confidence in the Lord. Don't dread your circumstances, don't fear the uncertainty, don't wallow in self-pity, but do as the Bible says and Be Strong in the Lord and in the power of His Might. We can't overcome on our own because we are too weak, but the Lord who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think can take our life out of the miry clay and establish us on a solid foundation; a foundation that never cracks or crumbles or diminishes away. (Ephesians 6:10) (Ephesians 3:20-21)

I encourage you again to think about the positives in your life and see that you have much to be thankful for. Don't allow the enemy to make you question the Lord or lure you to believe that no one cares for your well-being. There are people all around you who love you more than you will ever know and if that weren't enough the Bible says that God loves us with an unmeasured love, a love that reaches from everlasting to everlasting. Such great love is undeserved, but thankfully it exists to all those who acknowledge the Lord and call Him their Heavenly Father. I pray that you do and that each new day that you are blessed enough to see is filled with Praise, Gratitude and Thanksgiving. (Psalm 34:1-6) (Jeremiah 31:3)

I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to look forward to tomorrow with a renewed sense of thankfulness and appreciation for the good that is to come.

A LITTLE MORNING MUSIC

I walked out on my porch this morning to the wonderful sight of the sun rising over the mountains. I smiled as its golden beams lit up the clear, blue sky. My light jacket was unbuttoned and the morning breeze felt warm and comforting. The trees were still bare of any buds, but I could feel a sense of the coming Spring on this February day. I breathed in the fresh air and thanked God for this glorious day to be alive. I thought that only one thing was missing that would make this a perfect moment: a little morning music.

Then suddenly I heard it. God had granted my wish. The morning music had arrived. It was the first birdsongs of the year. After the cold and silent mornings of Winter nothing could have sounded sweeter. The music was coming from every direction. The birds were singing for love, for joy, and for God. They were calling on Spring to hurry along and life to return to this world once more. I stood still and just listened. I could feel my own soul awakening to Heaven’s joy and my own heart filling with God’s love. It truly was a perfect moment.

Sometimes we all go through the harshness of Winter in our lives. Sometimes we all feel cold, dead, and quiet inside. Sometimes we all wonder where the music has gone. It is then, however, that we need to tell the little bird in our souls to sing once again. It is then that we need to ask God to fill us with His love and His music. It is then that we need to awaken our inner Spring and share its life and warmth with the world.

I hope that you always take the time to hear the birds singing in the trees and the birds singing in your soul. I hope that you fill your days with songs of joy, acts of love, and thoughts of God. I hope that you start everyday of your life here with a little morning music and carry it’s Heavenly melody in your heart all day long.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 8:31-32 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart.”

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 “For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

Psalm 37:3-6 “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
