1321st -- How Do You Build A Better World?

I am a firm believer that you and I can be world changers. We have been given gifts and abilities that are meant to be used to better our life and the lives of those around us. The Lord has instilled greatness within each of our hearts, but what we do with that greatness is entirely up to us. We can ignore our greatness because we don't believe in ourselves, we can reject our greatness because we don't think that we are able or we can deny our greatness because of some past mistake or short fall. What I have found to be true is that God is able to forgive our past and set forth a secured future where we will become better, wiser and stronger than we ever thought possible. When we do take hold of that belief that we have greatness within our being, I believe we will stand up and strive to reach every goal and desire that is within our hearts so that we may bring to realization what was once only a dream, hope or desire. (Psalm 8:3-6) (Isaiah 43:18-21)

No matter where you may be in life, I want you to know that you can be a world changer. You can help another to believe in themselves, to stand taller, to become better and to simply know that someone else cares for their well-being. For myself, I never thought that I would be used by the Lord in such a unique and profound way. When I simply surrendered my will to the Lord and asked for His will to be done in my life, a supernatural wisdom was imparted into my heart and I was given the ability to write messages that lifted up, encouraged and inspired people around the world. How is that possible? It's possible because God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or even think. (John 6:38-40) (Ephesians 3:20-21)

The Lord can do amazing things when we submit our life to Him. That is why I encourage you to believe that you can be a world changer. Simply surrender your will and allow His will to be done through your life. You will be so happy that you allowed your simple vessel to make this world better than it was before. I know I am thankful to have been given the privilege to serve the Lord and that's why I am always quick to give God all the Glory, Honor and Praise for all that He has done through this simple vessel. I pray that you will want to be used by the Lord just the same. (1 Samuel 15:22) (Isaiah 6:8)

I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to see that kindness can be shown in the simplest of ways, but still be significant in its impact upon others.

HOW DO YOU BUILD A BETTER WORLD?

How do you build a better world? That is a question that has puzzled mankind for centuries. Many things have been tried. Some have helped and some haven’t. I think, though, that I was given a part of the answer just the other day.

My brother had just cleaned out his bedroom closet. It was something I needed to do as well even though I was afraid I might get lost in there and not find my way back out. When he brought over some of the extra clothes to my Dad’s house, he asked me to look through them and see if there was anything I could use. I ended up just picking out a few pair of short pants to replace my worn out cut off jeans. I couldn’t see keeping more clothes that I didn’t need. I volunteered instead to take the rest of them over to the Goodwill store and donate them for him.

I loaded his clothes in the back of my car and then decided to brave the clutter of my own closet to add to his donation. It was a scary sight opening that door. The mess was tremendous. Still, the thought of doing something good for another spurred me on and kept me going. It took a long time, but I got it done. I was left with a much emptier closet, but a much fuller heart. As I carried my own bags of clothes to add to my brothers I couldn’t help but smile. It was then that I saw how we all can go about building a better world.

We can do it one kind act at a time. We can do it one gift of charity at a time. We can do it one shared smile at a time. We can do it one uplifting word at a time. We can do it one heartfelt hug at a time. We can even do it one donated shirt at a time. We can build a better world with each act of love we share and good thing we do. We can do it with helpful hands and caring hearts. We can do it with cheerful spirits and joyous souls. We can do it knowing that God and His angels are smiling down upon us and helping us every step of the way.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 8:31-32 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart.”

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Psalm 34:17-19 “The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”

Psalm 37:3-6 “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
