142nd -- Message On Trusting The Lord

The Lord has spoken to my heart recently on trusting Him when He leads
us in accomplishing certain goals and also to trust Him regardless of
our present circumstances. This message that God led me to write has two
points that I want to make. One, is to trust God when He tells you to do
something, and the other is to believe that God will always give you the
words and wisdom to accomplish that goal. (Matthew 10:19-20) (Exodus 4:12)

When God chose Moses as His servant to deliver the children of Israel from
the hand of Pharaoh, Moses tried to talk God out of sending him because
Moses thought he wasn't qualified. He came up with many reasons why God
should send someone else. He told God that he could not speak well, that
he stuttered, and that he wasn't smart enough to do what God asked him to
do. The way God answered Moses is the same way God answers us today when
we try to make excuses when He leads us in fulfilling certain goals.

Exodus 4:10-12 declares, "Then Moses said to the LORD, "O my Lord, I am
not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant;
but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue." So the LORD said to him, "Who
has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the
blind? Have not I, the LORD? "Now therefore, go, and I will be with your
mouth and teach you what you shall say."

When Moses tried to make excuses of why he wasn't qualified, God answered
him saying, "Who has made man's mouth? Have not I, the Lord?" God wants us
to know that when He calls us to accomplish a certain goal, He will give
us the tools to accomplish that goal. God will never ask you to do
something without first equipping you with the correct tools to do it.

Before Jesus was received into heaven, He told His disciples in John 14:12,
"Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do
he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to
My Father." I believe every Christian that has been cleansed with the
blood of Jesus Christ is qualified to serve the Lord. Jesus says, because
we believe in Him, we will do the works that He did and greater works we
shall do. This scripture tells us that because of the Holy Spirit that is
within us, we are qualified to do the work of the Lord.

I encourage you to never allow the enemy to instill doubt into your heart.
The devil knows the power that we possess through Christ and he will do
everything in his power to discourage you into thinking that you are not
qualified and are not capable of serving the Lord effectively. (John 8:44)

Take this message as an encouraging reminder that God is the One who made
you and He alone knows your potential. Never give doubt to yourself
because the enemy will use that to discourage you and make you believe
that you are not able to do God's work. Just as the enemy tried to
discourage Moses, he will try to do the same with every believer. We know
through God's Word that we are capable to serve the Lord for the Bible
declares, "We are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us" and
"Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
(Jeremiah 29:11) (Romans 8:37) (1 John 4:4)

Encourage yourself today in the Lord and know that you are a mighty warrior
for Christ and through His power, you are able to accomplish and succeed
in every area of life and ministry. If the Lord is speaking to your heart
to start a ministry or simply to follow His leading, I encourage you to do
so. God will never ask you to do something that you are not able to do.
With His strength, wisdom, and guidance you will always be successful in
accomplishing every goal that God places upon your heart. (Psalm 27:1)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though
God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be
reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that
we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

Hebrews 4:14-16 "Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has
passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our
confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with
our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

Romans 10:14-15 "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not
believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?
And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach
unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of
those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"

Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun
a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

All scriptures can be found in the New King James Version.
