256th -- It's All In Your Perspective

It is great for a person to have an optimistic outlook on themselves and
on their future. The enemy of hell wants nothing more than for each of us
to have a negative attitude towards our life. The benefits of having a
positive outlook on life not only help us physically, but spiritually as
well. The Bible declares in Proverbs 23:7, "As a man thinks in his heart,
so is he." If we think we will be successful, then success is sure to come.
If we think that we will fail, then failure is sure to come. God has given
each of us the tools and the gifts to have a bright and prosperous future,
but acknowledging these abilities is a decision that God leaves up to us.

This is a great short story that shows what great results come forth when
we have a positive image of ourselves and our abilities. I hope this
message inspires you to think of yourself in a positive way and know that
you have great things in you that are waiting to be established.

IT'S ALL IN YOUR PERSPECTIVE

A little boy was overheard talking to himself as he strutted through the
backyard, wearing his baseball cap and toting a ball and bat: "I'm the
greatest hitter in the world," he announced.

Then, he tossed the ball into the air, swung at it, and missed.

"Strike one!" he yelled. Undaunted, he picked up the ball and said again,
"I'm the greatest hitter in the world!"

He tossed the ball into the air. When it came down, he swung again and
missed. "Strike two!" he cried.

The boy then paused a moment to examine his bat and ball carefully. He spit
on his hands and rubbed them together. He straightened his cap and said
once more, "I'm the greatest hitter in the world!"

Again he tossed the ball up in the air and swung at it. He missed. "Strike
three!"

"Wow!" he exclaimed. "I'm the greatest pitcher in the world!"

I encourage you to simply be strong in the Lord and in the special
abilities that He has instilled in you. Never allow the enemy to place
doubt in your heart concerning how special you really are. God has made
you and as an individual and given you the ability to do great things with
your life. I encourage you to see yourself as the Victor and know that
God is with you and has promised to lead you all the days of your life
because of your trust in Him. (Jeremiah 1:4-5) (Psalm 91:14-16)

Rejoice in the Lord and recognize how special you are.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 1:1-3 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of
the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law
doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the
rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf
also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be
not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee
whithersoever thou goest."

Psalm 28:6-8 "Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my
supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in
Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my
song will I praise Him. The LORD is their strength, and He is the saving
strength of His anointed."

Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath
begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

All scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
