306th -- Message On The Believer's Authority

I hope you are doing well and are in the best of health. I am doing very
well and am thankful to the Lord for His continued leading with my life and
this ministry. The Lord has been speaking to my heart on the authority
every believer has over the devil, but how lacking they are in taking their
position and exercising that authority to rebuke the enemy and take back
what he has stolen. I pray this message will minister to your heart and
show you through God's Word how to take your stance in rebuking the devil
from infiltrating your life.

The Lord Jesus Christ has given each believer great power that can be
exercised by using His Name. The Lord Jesus declares in John 14:12-14,
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I
do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I
go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in
My name, I will do it."
Many people have read over this scripture, but
have not really received what the Lord has said. The believer has great
power in using the name of Jesus Christ.

We have been given the authority both to bind the devil and all his evil
devices as well as to loose the powers of heaven in our favor. The hour
is too late for us to not use the great authority the Lord Jesus Christ
has given us. In His name, we can bind the powers and principalities that
are trying to rule our life and in His name we can loose the favor and
protection of Almighty God. Jesus declares in Matthew 18:18,
"Verily I say
unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
The Lord
is ready to move on our behalf, but we are the ones that have to initiate
God's movement by taking our stance as an extension of Him and knowing our
Authority as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:8) (Luke 10:19)

The Lord has left His authority in our hands and the choice is up to us
whether we live in Victory or in defeat. Everything God could have done,
He has done, but has left it up to us to take hold of that authority.
Remember what the scripture says in Deuteronomy 30:19, "I call heaven and
earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and
death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy
seed may live." God wants us to live in victory and has made every
provision for us to do so, but still it is our choice whether we do or
whether we don't. (John 19:30) (3 John 2) (2 Peter 3:9)

We need to also keep in mind that the authority we have in Jesus' name is
greater than that of the angels in heaven. The Angels that watch over us,
protect us and fight our battles have been given great power by God
Almighty, but not one angel can say, "I rebuke you satan in the name of
Jesus Christ." That privilege has only been given to those on the earth
who have put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. We read this
in the book of Jude where Michael the archangel was contending with satan
about the body of Moses. Jude 9 declares "Yet Michael the archangel, in
contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared
not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, 'The Lord rebuke
you!'" Only the believer can rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus Christ.
Imagine what a great privilege God has bestowed upon us that only the
believer has the authority to use the Son's Name. (Psalm 34:7) (Psalm 91:8-12)

The point of this whole message is for you to be encouraged and realize
how powerful you really are in Christ. If you have been cleansed by the
blood of Jesus Christ, then the devil has no authority over your life, but
rather you have the authority over the devil. Don't shy away from standing
in who you are. Know that God is well pleased when you use the authority
that He has given you. Jesus declares in Luke 10:19,
"Behold, I give unto
you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of
the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

I encourage you again to take hold of your authority and don't allow the
enemy to wreck havoc in your life, but rather show that defeated foe who
you are in Christ and take back what the enemy has stolen by binding his
evil devices, rebuking the devil in the Name of Jesus Christ, loosing the
power and favor of God over your life and confessing the Word of God that
dwells within your spirit. With this combination of prayer, your life is
sure to change for the better.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

John 1:10-12 "He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the
world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on His name."

Psalm 91:13-16 "Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion
and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love
upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he
hath known My name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will
be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life
will I satisfy him, and shew him My salvation."

Revelation 1:5-6 "…Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in
His own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father;
to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
