435th -- Say A Prayer

It is easy for us to think that our problems and what we are going through
is tough and hard to overcome, but when we take a moment and think on the
problems of others around the world, we will realize how lucky and blessed
we truly are. There are many people who are so involved with what they are
going through, that they do not take the time to see that the problems of
others greatly outweigh their own. If they do take the time to look at
what others are going through, they will find that their problem doesn't
come close in comparison. (Psalm 142:4) (Psalm 23:4-6) (Hebrews 13:5-6)

We are a blessed people no matter the problem or situation in our life and
we should be quick to thank God for our blessings and lend a helping hand
toward those who are not as fortunate as we are. We will quickly find that
in helping others, our burden will feel much lighter in weight. (Galatians 6:2)

I hope you are blessed and encouraged by today's message to see that your
blessings far outweigh any hardships that may come your way.

SAY A PRAYER

I was taking my usual morning walk when a garbage truck pulled up beside
me. I thought the driver was going to ask for directions. Instead, he
showed me a picture of a cute little five-year-old boy. "This is my
grandson, Jeremiah," he said. "He's on a life-support system at a Phoenix
hospital."

Thinking he would next ask for a contribution to his hospital bills, I
reached for my wallet. But he wanted something more than money. He said,
"I'm asking everybody I can to say a prayer for him. Would you say one for
him, please?" I did, and my problems didn't seem like much that day.

It is only in looking at those who are not as fortunate as we are that we
find how truly blessed a people we are. Be encouraged to not focus on
only what you are going through, but look at those whose problems greatly
outweigh your own and see that it's not as bad as it seems. A quote I
think of often says "I heard of a man who complained about not having any
shoes until he met a man who had no feet."

Never allow yourself to murmur and complain about the trials that come
before you, but rather remember that you are blessed and highly favored
and will overcome every trial and tribulation that comes your way.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

John 15:11-13 Jesus says
"These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy
might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is My
commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love
hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Galatians 6:2-4 "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of
Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he
deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he
have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another."

1 John 4:20-21 "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a
liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love
God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from Him, That he
who loveth God love his brother also."

Ephesians 4:29-32 "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace
unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are
sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and
anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all
malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
