54th -- Prayers

We sometimes forget and do not put into affect the power we have when we
pray. Prayer is the communication line between us and God, but we are
sometimes hypocrites in that we only come to the Lord when we need
something or have a problem for God to solve, but not when everything is
going great in our lives. I believe it would please God more if we would
be in constant fellowship with the Lord; in good days and bad. In Psalm
34:1 King David says, "I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise
shall continually be in my mouth." I encourage you to bless and praise
the Lord throughout your day and see the blessings that God will pour out
to you from Heaven.

This is a great poem that blessed and encouraged me to pray more and
ask the Lord to have His perfect will fulfilled in my life. I encourage
you to do the same in asking the Lord to take control and have His perfect
will fulfilled completely in your life as well. Only when we surrender to
God; can we see how great His ways really are.

I hope you enjoy the poem.

PRAYERS

Life without purpose is barren indeed
There can't be a harvest unless you plant seed
There can't be attainment unless there's a goal
And man's but a robot unless there's a soul.

If we send no ships out, no ships will come in,
And unless there's a contest, nobody can win.
For games can't be won unless they are played,
And prayers can't be answered unless they are prayed.

So whatever is wrong with your life today
You'll find a solution if you kneel down and pray.
Not just for pleasure, enjoyment and health,
Not just for honors and prestige and wealth.

But pray for a purpose to make life worth living
And pray for the joy of unselfish giving.
For great is your gladness and rich your reward,
When you make your life's purpose the choice of the Lord.

Prayer should be a daily part of every believers life and not a chore. God
is pleased and in turn will bless those who are in constant prayer and
fellowship with Him. God loves every person on Earth and will leave
Heaven to be with us when we are in fellowship with Him (Hebrews 2:6-7).
I encourage you to spend time with the Father and begin to speak to Him as
a friend and not some being who does not know you. The Lord knows your
heart and is always available to hear your prayers (Psalm 44:21). Be
encouraged and know that coming to the Lord in prayer can only improve your
life and your outlook on others.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 103:1-5 "Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless
his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who
redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness
and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy
youth is renewed like the eagle's."

Philippians 4:4-7 "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful
for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of
God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus."

Psalm 105:1-5 "O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known
his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye
of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of
them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his
face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his
wonders, and the judgments of his mouth."

All scriptures can be found in the King James Version.
