711th -- Just One of Those Days

We should never allow the stresses of life to discourage our hearts or keep
us stagnant. We must remember that both good days and bad days are ahead
of all of us and our attitude should not be affected by which day we are
facing. We are to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness
blessing the Lord at all times and continually letting His praise out of
our mouths. Even in the difficult times of life we are to look at the good
and focus more on our blessings rather than the difficult situation in our
path. We are to see the end result with our eyes of faith and know that
God is with us and He will not withhold any good thing from us. (Isaiah 61:3)

It is not a matter of positive thinking, but rather it's our faith in
action believing what the Word of God says concerning the believer in Jesus
Christ. Be encouraged to see with your eyes of faith and know that you
have the angels of heaven by your side ready to protect, guide and guard
your life from the hands of the enemy. Rejoice and Enjoy this day. This
is the day the Lord has made. (Psalm 34:1-10) (Hebrews 11:1-3) (Psalm 91:9-16)

I hope this message encourages your heart to see the good in your life and
be quick to give God thanks for the many blessings that He has bestowed
upon your life.

JUST ONE OF THOSE DAYS

Have you ever had “one of those days”? You know, the kind of day that
begins with the ear piercing sound from an alarm clock? You just want to
sleep a little longer. Just ten more minutes.

You can't hit the snooze button because, after all, that only gives you
seven more minutes of rest. Suddenly you awake and realize forty-five
minutes have passed. You should have been out the door and on your way to
work by now.

You scramble around the house muttering how stupid you are. Run out the
door to your car and hope traffic is light. Only to end up behind a car
whose driver insists on going five miles below the speed limit. Now you are
really upset. You mutter words that you would punish your child for saying.

You think to yourself, “The whole day is ruined”. You spend all day trying
to make up for those forty-five minutes of rest. By day's end you are
exhausted, and wonder was the extra sleep worth it.

I've had days like that. Days that I have been so exhausted both physically
and mentally, I could and have cried. I'm learning though. When I feel
overwhelmed with work and self-pity, I turn to my Creator. I ask Him to
open my eyes, so that I may see what is really important in my life. My
family, my friends and my health.

I behold His wonders. The sweet song of a bird. The vastness of the ocean.
The beauty of the mountains. The delicate petals of a flower. The splendor
of the colors in a sunset. All of His glorious creation that surrounds me.

How insignificant my problems then seem to be. How wonderfully blessed my
day has become.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers
temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire,
wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

2 Corinthians 4:15-17 “For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant
grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the
inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but
for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”

Jeremiah 29:11-14 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith
the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will
hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search
for Me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD...”

Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I
deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. He
shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I
will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and
shew him My salvation.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
