835th -- The Age Of Beauty

We should never face our obstacles with fear or dread, but rather we should
face them with confidence knowing that we will become better, wiser and
more full of faith because of them. When we face difficult situations,
they work to our benefit if we handle them in the proper way. We must look
at each trial as a steppingstone for our betterment. When we overcome what
at first seemed impossible, we learn that it wasn't as bad as we first
thought and we see our spiritual strength become stronger and stronger.

Instead of feeling fear or dread, we will have faith that we will overcome
because the Lord has promised that our latter end would be much better than
our former beginnings. Be encouraged to look at life with a refreshed
viewpoint. See that you do have it within you to overcome and be
victorious over every obstacle that is in your path. Believe in yourself
as God believes in you and nothing shall be impossible. (Deuteronomy 1:30-31)

I hope this message encourages and challenges your heart to see that the
wisdom that comes with years lived is priceless and beyond beautiful.

THE AGE OF BEAUTY

The most beautiful face I've ever known, belongs to my eighty-seven-
year-old grandmother. Each time I see her, I am struck anew by the depth
of her loveliness. The joy in her journey, her struggles with sorrow, the
threads of wisdom she's bent down and picked up along the way, are present
in each line of time upon her face.

How could anything - ever - be more beautiful?

We're taught to dread wrinkles and sags and softening of the skin - the
inevitable proof of the time we've spent here on earth. Yet, the more time
we put in, the more reason we find to celebrate each passing year.
Character is forged, integrity strengthened and gratitude becomes a feeling
so deep the word no longer conveys a strong enough meaning.

I don't see an aging, forty-something face when I look in the mirror. I
see a person growing 'into' her face, finally beginning the process of
filling it out. At long last, she's figured out what her convictions are
and has built up enough strength to live them.

The best of youth is gone. The best of here is now, and the best of aging
is yet to come.

Fresh and new, the face of youth is a blank canvass. It is through the
physical brushstrokes of aging that a masterpiece is created.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Mark 11:23-24 Jesus declares
“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever
shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the
sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things
which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Deuteronomy 4:30-31 “When thou art in tribulation, and all these things
are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy
God, and shalt be obedient unto His voice; (For the LORD Thy God is a
merciful God;) He will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget
the covenant of thy fathers which He sware unto them.”

Ephesians 4:29-32 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace
unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are
sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and
anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all
malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”

1 Peter 5:6-7 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for He
careth for you.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
