90th -- Message On Following God

I hope you are doing well and in the best of health. While I was in
prayer the Lord began speaking to my heart concerning Matthew 15:8 which
declares "…people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from
me." I believe God laid this scripture on my heart because more and more
people are doing the routine thing and not truly spending time with the
Lord. I hope this message will be a blessing and pray the Holy Spirit
will speak to people's heart as He sees fit.

Jesus says in John 4:23-24 "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the
true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the
Father is seeking such to worship Him. "God is Spirit, and those who
worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." We need to get our eyes
off of what everyone else is doing and do that which is pleasing to the
Lord. I can speak from personal experience because before I accepted
Jesus as my personal savior, I would act as a Christian, but deep in my
heart, I wasn't interested in following after the Lord or doing that which
was right in His eyes. God has made many changes in my life since then
and I thank Him for that.

I know of many people who will not follow after the Lord because they are
afraid of what people will say about them behind their back. I wish they
would think about their decision because God is love and all who come to
Him will be changed into His likeness. I have never met a person who has
given their life to the Lord and then regret their decision. It is not
possible because Jesus says I have come that they may have life, and that
they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10). He wishes to increase
their happiness not to take it away. It's a shame the way they allow
satan to fool them because when these people stand before the Lord on
judgment day, they will be standing alone without those friends that
discouraged them from following after the Lord. Each person will give an
account of their own actions and not of someone else's. (Revelation 20:12)

The Bible declares that God's eyes search to and fro through the whole
earth looking for those whose heart is seeking after God (2 Chr. 16:9).
The Lord is constantly searching for people who can be trusted to do His
work and does not care about their past mistakes, but does care about
their future and all it has to offer with God leading the way.

Never forget that God is a loving God and loves to fellowship with His
children, but will not force Himself upon anyone. Jesus declares in
Revelation 3:20 Here I stand at the door and knock, He didn't say He will
open the door, but knock. It is up to us to choose to let Him in and be
Lord and head of our lives.

I encourage you to live for the Lord and make Him #1 in your life if you
haven't already. Only what is done for the Lord will be with us in
eternity and working yourself to death for material gain will not fulfill
the God shaped void that we have in our hearts. I don't want you to
misunderstand what I'm saying, it is great to work and make money but
don't allow that to keep you from getting close to the Lord; for the Bible
declares in Mark 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain
the whole world, and lose his own soul?"

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

2 Chronicles 16:9 "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the
whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is
loyal to Him..."

Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus says "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become
new."

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count
slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should
perish but that all should come to repentance."

All scriptures can be found in the New King James Version.

I thank the Lord for His leading and hope you are being blessed by these
messages. Only God knows of the lives that are being touched by this
Ministry and I am always quick to give God all the Praise, Honor and Glory
for His many past, present and future blessings upon this Ministry and the
many members who are a part of it.

In Christ Service,
