974th -- Autumn Leaves

With the unpredictability of life we should never postpone for tomorrow
what can be done today. There are many people in this world who place
their happiness on hold because they are waiting for some event to take
place first before they can fully enjoy life. They wait for their health
to be restored, for their finances to get better, for their children to
finish preschool, elementary school, high school, etc. before they can
enjoy life and do the things that bring happiness, laughter and joy. What
we must realize is that tomorrow is not promised to us and by waiting for
tomorrow, we are missing the blessing of today. We should remember the
frailty of life and use each day to its fullest to better ourselves, to
accomplish goals, to bless others and to simply be in the moment and
realize how blessed we are and how much we have to be thankful for. That
is what life is all about. It is about growing, learning and becoming
better than we were before. When we realize the true meaning of life, we
will stop postponing our happiness and be happy right now.

In the midst of the trial we will smile. In the midst of the difficulty
we will give God praise. In the midst of the struggle we will be happy.
As long as God is on His Throne then all is well. We shouldn't become
anxious, struggle or fear what the future holds. As long as we remember
Who holds the future, we should rest confidently and do our best to enjoy
life to its fullest. No worry, no fear, no heartache. Be happy with all
that God has given you and remember the many blessings that you’ve received
in times past. Sometimes it's easy to complain about the trials before us
because we forget of the many blessings that have already crossed our
path. When we remember how fortunate we’ve been, it is easier to bless
God and thank Him for all that He has done for us. A thankful heart will
be a receptive heart. Let us remember to give God thanks, to rest in His
ability to meet our needs and to do our best to be at peace and enjoy life
right now to the full.

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to be quick to give
God praise for your life and to do your best to enjoy to its fullest
potential each day that God has given you on this Earth.

AUTUMN LEAVES

It looks like Autumn is sneaking in a bit early this year in the forested
mountains of my home. Tiny splashes of red, yellow, and orange are
appearing on tree after tree here. It is so beautiful. It is almost like a
thousand angels with paint brushes are flying over the forests on these
early September nights spreading both color and joy.

Seeing all of the beauty and color of these wonderful Autumn leaves has
made me decide to do something that I haven’t done in a few years. It will
probably be a few more months before I can do it, but I am going to jump
in a pile of Autumn leaves again. I am going to dance in them and hear
them crunch under my feet. I am going to lay down in them and feel them
brush up against my face. I am going to smell them and let them invigorate
my being. I am going to play in them with both the heart of a child and
the appreciation of an adult. I am going to enjoy these glorious gifts
from God with all my heart, all my soul, and all my mind.

It doesn’t matter if you are eight, forty, or eighty four, it is never too
late to enjoy a beautiful Autumn. It is never too late to play in the
leaves. It is never too late to laugh like a child. It is never too late
to gaze with wonder and awe at this beautiful world that we have been
blessed to live in. It is never too late to fully live your life.

May you live your own life as beautifully and wonderfully as a forest full
of Autumn leaves then. May you share the color of your heart and light of
your soul with everyone you meet. May you bless this whole world with your
kindness, goodness, and oneness with God. May you live a life of such
giving, sharing, and caring that even after you pass from this world what
you did and who you were will continue to nourish the hearts and souls of
those still here. May you live in love and joy today, tomorrow, and forever
and may you always remember to jump in the leaves.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Deuteronomy 4:30-31 “When thou art in tribulation, and all these things
are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy
God, and shalt be obedient unto His voice; (For the LORD Thy God is a
merciful God;) He will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget
the covenant of thy fathers which He sware unto them.”

Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but
this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching
forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the
prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

1 Peter 5:6-7 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for He
careth for you.”

Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on
Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in
the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
