1192nd -- Guaranteed Delivery

What makes life so special is the unpredictability of it. None of us know
what will happen tomorrow, but when we have a trusting dependency upon the
Lord, we can rest assured that nothing will come our way that we will not
have the provision for. That is why I have such a lighthearted attitude
towards everything. I never take myself or life itself too seriously. I
don't worry, stress or have anxiety about what tomorrow holds because I
know the One will holds our tomorrows. The Lord is omniscient, omnipotent
and omnipresent which means He knows all things, at all times in all
places. There is nothing that can happen in this world or in our own
lives that God doesn't already know about. That is why we should enjoy
each day as it comes and get from it all that it offers us. We should live
life with the expectancy that good is coming our way no matter how bad our
situation may seem at any present moment. (Psalm 118:24) (Psalm 138:6-8)

Let us be thankful, let us be praise filled, let us remember God's
faithfulness in times past and let us do all that we can to be a shining
beacon of hope and love towards everyone we come into contact with. Living
our life with a faith that is unwavering and a confidence in God that is
steadfast is assuring that our latter end will be blessed no matter how
unsteady it may have seemed before. Be encouraged to trust the Lord no
matter what you may be facing right now. The Bible says that God will not
leave us nor forsake us so let us believe His Word and go forth living
confidently knowing that all will be well with us.
(Isaiah 49:14-16) (Hebrews 13:5-6)

I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to rest in God's
ability to meet your needs and give you your hearts desires.

I got up early this morning, hopped in my car, and headed to the local post
office. I drove along with eager anticipation that something I had been
waiting for would be there. It had been ten days since I sent for it and I
was sure that it would finally be waiting in my mailbox today. When I got
there I slid my key into the box and opened the door. My face fell,
however, when I saw it was empty. I sighed and shut the door. "Maybe
tomorrow", I said to myself as I got in my car and headed home.

I didn’t blame the post office for my disappointment. It is amazing how
many millions of letters and packages they deliver on time every single
day. I didn’t blame the place I ordered it from either. They had said it
could be up to two weeks before I got it. I only blamed my own impatience.
I had never been one for waiting. I had always wanted everything in my
life right away, and it had taken God many years to teach me to take the
long view of eternity. Still, I was grateful to Him because there was one
package I always got guaranteed delivery.

You see, everyday I open the door of my soul and find the shining package
of God’s love waiting on the doorstep. Everyday I open it and find my
spirit filled with joy. It is so wonderful knowing that God loves us all
completely and unconditionally. It is so glorious knowing that His love is
forever waiting to fill our hearts full to overflowing. It saddens me,
though, to know that so many people out there refuse delivery.

When you open the door of your soul today don’t refuse delivery. When you
see that shining gift of God’s love take it into your arms and welcome it
into your heart. Then go out and share it with everyone you meet. And
always remember that God’s love is not only guaranteed delivery but also
guaranteed to grow in every heart that freely gives it to others.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 20:6-7 “Now know I that the LORD saveth His anointed; He will hear
him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some
trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of
the LORD our God.”

Romans 12:15-18 “Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them
that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things,
but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of
all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with
all men.”

Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless
His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who
redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness
and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy
youth is renewed like the eagle's.”

Psalm 118:5-9 “I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me,
and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what
can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me:
therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to
trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in
the LORD than to put confidence in princes.”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we
look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not
seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are
not seen are Eternal.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
