I hope you are doing well and are in the best of health. I am doing very
well and simply thankful for the goodness of our wonderful Lord. Recently
while I was meditating on a few scriptures, I felt the Lord speak to my
heart to write a message on wisdom and knowledge and how diligently we as
believers need to seek for His wisdom and understanding to both better our
life and guard it from the enemy's attacks. I hope this message ministers
to your heart and shows you how important it is that we seek the wisdom of
the Lord for our betterment as His children.

There are many people in this world that choose ignorance over knowledge
and do not realize the danger that is coming before them. The Bible says
it clear in Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."
The enemy of hell wants nothing more than for all of humanity to continue
in their ignorance without realizing their error and renewing their mind
with the Word of God. We must understand that confusion comes only from
the enemy and his wish for us is to never realize who we are and who we
can be through the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:19-21) (John 8:44)

The Lord wants His people to prosper in every area of life including the
area of wisdom and understanding. The Bible declares in Proverbs 4:5-7
"Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the
words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love
her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get
wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." We are to read the
scriptures and understand that a treasure of wisdom and knowledge is made
available to all who simply read and receive. (3 John 2) (Proverbs 3:13)

The Book of Proverbs is a good example of practical wisdom; it encourages
the pursuit of wisdom and the practice of strict discipline, hard work,
and high moral standards as the way to happiness and success. Proverbs is
an optimistic book. It declares that wisdom is attainable by all who seek
and follow it. The book also declares that those who keep God's moral and
ethical laws will be rewarded with long life, health, possessions, respect,
security, and self-control. The wealth of all scripture are written with
God's breath of inspiration and is welcomed to all who respect it and
              receive it. (Joshua 1:8) (Proverbs 2:1-9) (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

Seeking God's wisdom and knowledge helps us spiritually, physically,
mentally and emotionally. It is simple understanding that we receive when
we learn of the dangers of not living according to God's commandments. The
devil wishes for us to lie, steal, cheat, commit adultery, blaspheme the
name of God, live an immoral and unethical life because he knows that death
waits for those who live accordingly. We are to recognize the devil's
voice when these choices are presented to us and wisely choose wisdom and
follow the commandments of God. The Bible declares in Proverbs 6:23 "For
the commandment is a lamp and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction
are the way of life." (Proverbs 8:4-11) (James 1:13-17)

I encourage you to set a time each day and read one chapter of Proverbs. In
one month you will finish the book as there are 31 chapters. Don't only
read the words but think and meditate on the meaning and emphasis of what
you've read. You will find very early that great wisdom and understanding
is written very clearly and when applied to daily life, our peace, joy and
contentment is elevated to greater heights. Other wisdom chapters can be
              found in the Psalms, specifically Psalm chapters 1; 19; 37; 49; 104; 107;
              112; 119; 127; 128; 133; 147; 148.

Be encouraged to seek after wisdom and set your heart to receive knowledge.
The Bible declares in Proverbs 3:13-15 "Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the
profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than
rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her."

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Proverbs 8:1-7 "Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the
paths. She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in
at the doors. Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding
heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my
lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness
is an abomination to my lips."

Romans 11:33-36 "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge
of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been His counsellor?
Or who hath first given to Him, and it shall be recompensed unto him
again? For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom
              be glory for ever. Amen."

Proverbs 13:18-20 "Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth
instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured. The desire
accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart
from evil. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion
              of fools shall be destroyed."

Psalm 1:1-3 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth
he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the
rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also
shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
