Loneliness

Like all other singles,
Sometimes I feel alone.
So I whip out my Bible,
Thinking my troubles will be gone.

Time after time, loneliness tries me again,
Resuming empty feelings and wishing they would end.
So off I go to my closet to pray,
Shaking off loneliness for one more day.

But loneliness returns even stronger than before,
Feeling the need to be embraced once more.
So I turn down my plate and go on a fast,
Hoping this loneliness becomes a thing of the past.

Realizing these desires are here to stay,
Till I lose my independence to a new groom's way.
So I ask God for a mate and faith to believe,
For with God all things are possible and I'm ready to receive!!!
